It is very easy to feng shui home office when you understand the basic feng shui principles. The basics are the same for home as well as office. So what are the rules that will help you to feng shui home office? Lets discuss.

Desk placement rules

Rule no 1. Have a solid support behind.

Dont have a window behind the desk. Having back to the window means the energy would stab you in the back.

There should be a solid wall behind-- no windows.

Cure: If you have no choice then place a picture of mountain or a tortoise behind. This will give you a solid support.

Rule no. 2. You should NOT have the door behind.

 You should be able to see the door. Why? Because i f you cannot see the door then you will miss out on opportunities. So make sure that you dont place your office desk with back to the door.

Cure:  Place a small mirror on your office cubicle that will help you see the door behind.

Rule 3. You should NOT be in a straight line with the door.

While its good to have office desk facing the door. But if you are sitting right opposite to the door then energy from the door will rush towards you.

 You want the energy to slow down and come to you. The further you position your office desk from the door --the more powerful you will be.

CURE: If you cannot help it then place a small bell or crystal near the door. Or you can place plant in between your desk and the door. This will slow down the rushing energy.

Rule 5 . The power position is diagonally opposite to the door.

So make sure you keep this rule in mind when designing your feng shui office layout.

Rule 5. Southwest is also a corner of power.

If you are unable to sit diagonally opposite to the door then sit in southwest of the office. This is also a corner of power. The person sitting in southwest of the office will be powerful. The boss chamber should be in southwest of the office.

Rule 4. You should not face a wall.

Office desk facing a wall is a symbol of facing obstacles. Just like a big wall right infront of the main door is bad. Similarly when you sit facing the wall it symbolise obstacles.

CURE: If you have no choice then place a beautiful picture of open and low area like a beautiful garden or bed of flowers.

Rule 6.  You shouldnot have a beam above.

Beams symbolise oppression.You dont want to be oppressed by the boss or your seniors in office. Beams also symbolise that you are under pressure all the time. So move the desk away from the beam. If you cannot do this then do this simple cure.

CURE: Paint the beam the color of the ceiling or stencil it with an "uplifting" design such as clouds or birds in flight.

Rule 7. Chairs facing one another means confrontations.

If you sit facing one another in a cubicle then it symbolises confrontation. This could create arguments and fightings. How do you like when someone is sitting right opposite to you in a confrontational position. Not very good Right? This position leads to arguments, quarrels and fights.

CURE: Place a rooster on your desk.

Rule 8. Face your lucky direction

Make sure you are facing one of your good direction as per your kua number. Choose office cubicle wisely. Dont face any of the 4 bad directions as per your kua number.

Rule 9. Green leaves symbolise wealth.

You can place plants anywhere in the office. But the best location is southeast of the office. The element of southeast is wood. This is the wealth corner.
